Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Cotton Flowers); Untitled (Bamboo Shoots) by Nandalal Bose was sold in the South Asian Art auction at Christies in Mumbai in December 2013. The price achieved of INR 687,500.00 (€ 8,082.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 600,000.00 – 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Nandalal Bose achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bull Fighter in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 147,750.00 (€ 109,161.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Cotton Flowers); Untitled (Bamboo Shoots) von Nandalal Bose wurde im Dezember 2013 in der Auktion South Asian Art bei Christies in Mumbai versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von INR 687.500,00 (€ 8.082,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit INR 600.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Nandalal Bose erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bull Fighter im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 147.750,00 (€ 109.161,43).
