This artwork by Nan Goldin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2012. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session auction, the work Nan & Brian in Bed, NYC sold for USD 43,750.00 (€ 35,384.99) - well above the upper estimate of USD 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nan Goldin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Thanksgiving in May 2002 with an auction result of USD 284,500.00 (€ 304,636.47).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Nan Goldin erzielte im Mai 2012 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Morning Session wurde die Arbeit Nan & Brian in Bed, NYC für USD 43.750,00 (€ 35.384,99) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nan Goldin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Thanksgiving im Mai 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 284.500,00 (€ 304.636,47).
