Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Nam Kwan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2015. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Très Ancien (2) sold for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,953.89) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nam Kwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) in November 2016 with an auction result of HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 129,472.73).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Nam Kwan erzielte im November 2015 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Très Ancien (2) für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.953,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nam Kwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.062.500,00 (€ 129.472,73).
