A top price for Nam Kwan
This artwork by Nam Kwan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) sold for HKD 1,062,500.00 (€ 129,472.73) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. This high result makes COMPOSITION CALLIGRAPHIQUE (2) the most expensive artwork by Nam Kwan that we have observed at auctions so far.
