This artwork by Naim Ismail achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in October 2007. In the International Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work without title sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 12,095.66) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. Admittedly, works by Naim Ismail have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March 2020 with an auction result of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,575.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Naim Ismail erzielte im Oktober 2007 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion International Modern and Contemporary Art wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 17.500,00 (€ 12.095,66) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Naim Ismail auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.575,30).
