Sold at the upper estimate price
In October 2018 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work Al Fiddaiyoun (‘Freedom Fighters’) by Naim Ismail. The auction ended at the price of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 28,192.29), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 20,000.00 – 25,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Naim Ismail - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March 2020 for GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,575.30).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Al Fiddaiyoun (‘Freedom Fighters’) von Naim Ismail zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 28.192,29) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 20.000,00 – 25.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Naim Ismail mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März 2020 für GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.575,30) versteigert wurde.
