This artwork by Naim Ismail achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Dubai in March 2015. In the Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art auction, the work Al Fiddaiyoun (Freedom Fighters) sold for USD 60,000.00 (€ 55,860.72) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Naim Ismail; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in March 2020 with the realized price of GBP 62,500.00 (€ 70,575.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Naim Ismail erzielte im März 2015 bei Christies in Dubai einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art wurde die Arbeit Al Fiddaiyoun (Freedom Fighters) für USD 60.000,00 (€ 55.860,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Naim Ismail; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 62.500,00 (€ 70.575,30).
