Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dahlias In A Vase by Nadia Benois was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2005. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,572.91) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Nadia Benois - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Dieppe, which sold at auction in December 2006 for GBP 2,280.00 (€ 3,383.81).

Die Arbeit Dahlias In A Vase von Nadia Benois wurde im März 2005 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.080,00 (€ 1.572,91) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Nadia Benois mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Dieppe beobachtet, die im Dezember 2006 für GBP 2.280,00 (€ 3.383,81) versteigert wurde.
