This artwork by Murat Pulat achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in April 2011. In the Contemporary Art/ Turkish auction, the work without title sold for GBP 15,000.00 (€ 16,892.58) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Murat Pulat - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Marilyn Monroe (from the Interface series), which sold at auction in April 2012 for USD 56,250.00 (€ 42,520.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Murat Pulat erzielte im April 2011 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art/ Turkish wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 15.000,00 (€ 16.892,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Murat Pulat mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe (from the Interface series) beobachtet, die im April 2012 für USD 56.250,00 (€ 42.520,22) versteigert wurde.
