In September 2019 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Mrinalini Mukherjee. The »bidding war« ended at USD 25,000.00 (€ 22,925.26), 39% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mrinalini Mukherjee have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sri (Deity) in October 2014 with an auction result of GBP 98,500.00 (€ 125,770.27).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 39 % übertroffen
Im September 2019 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mrinalini Mukherjee zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 22.925,26) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mrinalini Mukherjee auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sri (Deity) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 98.500,00 (€ 125.770,27).
