Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2009 a collector was able to acquire the work Presumed innocent by Mounir Fatmi for GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,270.33). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Day at Phillips in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Mounir Fatmi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sonia Sonia Sonia in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 176,944.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2009 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Presumed innocent von Mounir Fatmi für GBP 27.500,00 (€ 32.270,33) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day bei Phillips in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mounir Fatmi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sonia Sonia Sonia im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 233.000,00 (€ 176.944,11).
