The work Shizuka - Tranquility by Morita Shiryū was sold in the Morita Shiryu: Bokujin auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2017. The auction ended at the price of HKD 300,000.00 (€ 33,018.54), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Morita Shiryū have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work So - Wilderness in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,740,000.00 (€ 301,569.37).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Shizuka - Tranquility von Morita Shiryū wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion Morita Shiryu: Bokujin bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 300.000,00 (€ 33.018,54) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Morita Shiryū auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit So - Wilderness im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.740.000,00 (€ 301.569,37).
