Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Post War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Card by Moira Dryer. The price achieved of USD 10,755.00 (€ 6,518.18) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Moira Dryer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Parenthesis, which sold at auction in July last year for USD 20,160.00 (€ 19,760.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Card von Moira Dryer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.755,00 (€ 6.518,18) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Moira Dryer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Parenthesis beobachtet, die im Juli letzten Jahres für USD 20.160,00 (€ 19.760,83) versteigert wurde.
