Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2008 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Mohan Samant for USD 17,500.00 (€ 11,072.45). This price was achieved in the auction Indian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 18,000.00 – 22,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohan Samant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kings And The Crowd in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,338.83).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2008 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Mohan Samant für USD 17.500,00 (€ 11.072,45) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Indian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 18.000,00 – 22.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mohan Samant erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Kings And The Crowd im März 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 147.338,83).
