The »bidding war« ended at INR 4,375,000.00 (€ 55,252.58), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mohan Samant - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kings And The Crowd, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,338.83).
