This artwork by Mohan Samant achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in October 2016. In the Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art auction, the work Untitled (Woman) sold for GBP 10,625.00 (€ 11,836.57) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mohan Samant achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Kings And The Crowd in March 2020 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 147,338.83).
