Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Morning Landscape by Mo Shilong. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 62,500.00 (€ 5,463.64) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mo Shilong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five-character Poem in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,511.83).
