Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Living In The Mountain by Mo Shilong. The price achieved of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 7,928.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mo Shilong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Five-character Poem in Cursive Script in June 2015 with an auction result of HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,511.83).
