The work Five-character Poem in Cursive Script by Mo Shilong was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 687,500.00 (€ 79,511.83), 72% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Five-character Poem in Cursive Script the most expensive artwork by Mo Shilong that we have observed at auctions so far.
