In January 2005 Christies in New York held the auction THE HOUSE SALE, which included the work Lo scaligero by Mirko Basaldella. The »bidding war« ended at USD 5,760.00 (€ 4,414.13), 15% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mirko Basaldella have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Allegoria della settimana (bangle), 1948-1950 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 27,562.00 (€ 30,983.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion THE HOUSE SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lo scaligero von Mirko Basaldella zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 5.760,00 (€ 4.414,13) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mirko Basaldella auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Allegoria della settimana (bangle), 1948-1950 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.562,00 (€ 30.983,78).
