Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dibirdibi Country 2009 by Sally Gabori was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney / Melbourne in November 2020. The price achieved of AUD 9,840.00 (€ 8,235.69) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sally Gabori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Father's Country, 2009, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 27,060.00 (€ 23,974.48).
