The »bidding war« ended at AUD 24,600.00 (€ 20,448.88), 64% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Sally Gabori; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot My Father's Country, 2009 sold at auction in November 2021 with the realized price of AUD 27,060.00 (€ 23,974.48).
