Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work KOMBALI, 2008 by Sally Gabori. The price achieved of USD 10,080.00 (€ 8,242.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Sally Gabori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work My Father's Country, 2009, which sold at auction in November 2021 for AUD 27,060.00 (€ 23,974.48).
