Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In January this year Christies held the auction Outsider and Vernacular Art, which included this untitled work by Minnie Evans. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,040.00 (€ 4,641.74). Admittedly, works by Minnie Evans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Voice of the Third Angel in January this year with an auction result of USD 42,840.00 (€ 39,454.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Christies die Auktion Outsider and Vernacular Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Minnie Evans zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.040,00 (€ 4.641,74) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Minnie Evans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Voice of the Third Angel im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 42.840,00 (€ 39.454,78).
