Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Min Jung Yeon could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) auction, the work Hibernation changed hands for HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,861.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Min Jung Yeon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Partir in May 2007 with an auction result of HKD 420,000.00 (€ 39,992.57).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Min Jung Yeon konnte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art (Afternoon Session) wechselte die Arbeit Hibernation für HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.861,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Min Jung Yeon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Partir im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 420.000,00 (€ 39.992,57).
