Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Asia, which included the work Intuition by Min Jung Yeon. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 22,000.00 – 32,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 22,500.00 (€ 14,236.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Min Jung Yeon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Partir, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 420,000.00 (€ 39,992.57).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Asia durch, in der auch die Arbeit Intuition von Min Jung Yeon zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 22.000,00 – 32.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 22.500,00 (€ 14.236,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Min Jung Yeon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Partir beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 420.000,00 (€ 39.992,57) versteigert wurde.
