A top price for Mikhail Nesterov - as previously expected
The work Winter by Mikhail Nesterov was sold in the Important Russian Art auction at Sothebys in London in June 2014. The price achieved of GBP 782,500.00 (€ 977,696.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700,000.00 – 900,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Winter is the most expensive artwork by Mikhail Nesterov that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Winter von Mikhail Nesterov wurde im Juni 2014 in der Auktion Important Russian Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 782.500,00 (€ 977.696,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Winter das teuerste Kunstwerk von Mikhail Nesterov, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
