The work Volga by Mikhail Nesterov was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2017. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,164.40), 67% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Nesterov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter in June 2014 with an auction result of GBP 782,500.00 (€ 977,696.31).

Die Arbeit Volga von Mikhail Nesterov wurde im Juni 2017 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.164,40) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Nesterov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter im Juni 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 782.500,00 (€ 977.696,31).
