Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Portrait de Roland Petit by Mikhail Larionov was auctioned at Christies in Paris in April last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 1,764.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mikhail Larionov achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still Life With Jug And Icon, C.1910-1912 in June 2007 with an auction result of GBP 2,260,000.00 (€ 3,353,726.33).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Portrait de Roland Petit von Mikhail Larionov im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 1.764,00 den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mikhail Larionov erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still Life With Jug And Icon, C.1910-1912 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.260.000,00 (€ 3.353.726,33).
