Auction result well in line with expectations
In October this year Bonhams held the auction POP X Culture, which included the work Bowie - Saxophone Session, 1973, printed later by Mick Rock. The price achieved of GBP 1,792.00 (€ 2,057.71) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mick Rock - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work David Bowie - Saxophone Session, which sold at auction in October 2013 for USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,976.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober diesen Jahres führte Bonhams die Auktion POP X Culture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bowie - Saxophone Session, 1973, printed later von Mick Rock zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.792,00 (€ 2.057,71) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mick Rock mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit David Bowie - Saxophone Session beobachtet, die im Oktober 2013 für USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.976,90) versteigert wurde.
