Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'., which included the work A herdsman with his flock in a wooded Italianate landscape by Michiel Carrée. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Michiel Carrée have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2011 the work A wooded landscape with a drover and her cattle at rest by classical ruins; and A wooded river landscape with a drover and his cattle watering was auctioned for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,451.34).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Pictures, Watercolours and Drawings 'Including Indonesian Art'. durch, in der auch die Arbeit A herdsman with his flock in a wooded Italianate landscape von Michiel Carrée zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Michiel Carrée konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juli 2011 die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a drover and her cattle at rest by classical ruins; and A wooded river landscape with a drover and his cattle watering für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.451,34) versteigert.
