Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours, which included the work A herdsman with his cattle by Michiel Carrée. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,946.17). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michiel Carrée - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A wooded landscape with a drover and her cattle at rest by classical ruins; and A wooded river landscape with a drover and his cattle watering, which sold at auction in July 2011 for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,451.34).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & Early British Drawings & Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit A herdsman with his cattle von Michiel Carrée zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.946,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michiel Carrée mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A wooded landscape with a drover and her cattle at rest by classical ruins; and A wooded river landscape with a drover and his cattle watering beobachtet, die im Juli 2011 für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.451,34) versteigert wurde.
