Auction result well in line with expectations
The work S.T_(Gris) 2 by Michel Mouffe was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART (DAY SALE) auction at Christies in London in February 2002. The price achieved of GBP 4,700.00 (€ 7,669.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Mouffe - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fire Ball, which sold at auction in December this year for EUR 19,200.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit S.T_(Gris) 2 von Michel Mouffe wurde im Februar 2002 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART (DAY SALE) bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 4.700,00 (€ 7.669,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michel Mouffe mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fire Ball beobachtet, die im Dezember diesen Jahres für EUR 19.200,00 versteigert wurde.
