Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art, which included the work Snowy Landscape by Michel Guermacheff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,928.24) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Guermacheff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Lake Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,022.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist and Modern Art including Latin American and Russian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snowy Landscape von Michel Guermacheff zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 4.928,24) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Michel Guermacheff mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Winter Lake Landscape beobachtet, die im Juni 2006 für GBP 9.000,00 (€ 13.022,85) versteigert wurde.
