Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michel Guermacheff could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in February 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni auction, the work Sunset changed hands for USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,256.52) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michel Guermacheff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Winter Lake Landscape, which sold at auction in June 2006 for GBP 9,000.00 (€ 13,022.85).

In der Auktion Old Master and 19th Century European Paintings and Drawings, including Property from the Estate of Giancarlo Baroni wechselte die Arbeit Sunset für USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.256,52) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 10.000,00.
