Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Amsterdam held the auction Global Contemporary, Rijksakademie, which included the work Belgian retenue D'Eau (Water Retainment) by Michel François. The price achieved of EUR 50,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Other works by Michel François have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2008 the work Souffles dans le verre was auctioned for GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Amsterdam die Auktion Global Contemporary, Rijksakademie durch, in der auch die Arbeit Belgian retenue D'Eau (Water Retainment) von Michel François zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 50.000,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Michel François konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2008 die Arbeit Souffles dans le verre für GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.776,08) versteigert.
