Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Selected Images from Tokyo Compression (#18, #5, #17) by Michael Wolf was auctioned at Phillips in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,699.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Wolf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.699,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Wolf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tokyo Compression Revisited, 2012 im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
