Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Scoggins could be acquired at Phillips in New York in March 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Under the Influence auction, the work One Free Car Wash! changed hands for USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,562.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Scoggins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work One Hundred Us Dollars (Tribute To A.W.), which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 15,000.00 (€ 10,887.71).
