Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Knoten 24 (Knot 24) by Michael Sailstorfer was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 6,250.00 (€ 7,052.38). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Sailstorfer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis, which sold at auction in December 2020 for GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,335.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Knoten 24 (Knot 24) von Michael Sailstorfer kam im September 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 6.250,00 (€ 7.052,38) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Sailstorfer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis beobachtet, die im Dezember 2020 für GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.335,58) versteigert wurde.
