Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Michael Sailstorfer achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Cologne in November 2021. In the Contemporary Passions auction, the work Raketenbaum (Rocket Tree) sold for EUR 15,120.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 6,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael Sailstorfer; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis sold at auction in December 2020 with the realized price of GBP 22,680.00 (€ 25,335.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Sailstorfer erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in Köln einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Passions wurde die Arbeit Raketenbaum (Rocket Tree) für EUR 15.120,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 6.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Michael Sailstorfer; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Zeit ist keine Autobahn - Minneapolis im Dezember 2020 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 22.680,00 (€ 25.335,58).
