The price achieved of AUD 6,600.00 (€ 3,880.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Parekowhai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Zealander Kapa Haka (Whero) in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,165.11).
