Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Parekowhai could be acquired at Sothebys in Melbourne in August 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Important Australian Art auction, the work New Zealander Portrait Of Elmer Keith #2 - From The Series Beverly Hills Gun Club 2000 changed hands for AUD 4,800.00 (€ 2,822.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Parekowhai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work New Zealander Kapa Haka (Whero) in August 2009 with an auction result of AUD 36,000.00 (€ 21,165.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Parekowhai konnte im August 2009 bei Sothebys in Melbourne für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Important Australian Art wechselte die Arbeit New Zealander Portrait Of Elmer Keith #2 - From The Series Beverly Hills Gun Club 2000 für AUD 4.800,00 (€ 2.822,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Parekowhai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit New Zealander Kapa Haka (Whero) im August 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 36.000,00 (€ 21.165,11).
