Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Kenna could be acquired at Christies in New York in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Ten Trees, Peterhof, Russia; and Supports de Jettée, Ruhl Place, Nice, France changed hands for USD 2,115.00 (€ 2,351.83) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Kenna have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Six works: Kussharo Lake Tree; Incense Holders; Dusk Island Shrine; Island Shrine; Hashikui Rocks; Tree and Mountain in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,242.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
