Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portraits Of Colonel Robert Honywood; And His Wife Mary by Michael Dahl was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in December 2012. The price achieved of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 18,499.17) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Dahl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Double Portrait Of A Lady And A Gentleman, which sold at auction in December 2017 for GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,301.14).
