In the Face Time: People in Art through the Ages auction, the work Portrait of a gentleman, traditionally identified as the artist, bust-length, in a red cap and banyan changed hands for GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,753.32) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Dahl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Portrait Of A Lady And A Gentleman in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,301.14).
