In September 2006 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Pictures, which included the work Portrait of a lady, quarter-length, in a blue dress, feigned oval by Michael Dahl. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,425.63) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Dahl achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Double Portrait Of A Lady And A Gentleman in December 2017 with an auction result of GBP 56,250.00 (€ 63,301.14).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
