Auction result well in line with expectations
In September this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Compendium by Michael Craig-Martin. The price achieved of GBP 640.00 (€ 640.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Craig-Martin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work With Red Shoes in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 325,000.00 (€ 381,791.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Prints and Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Compendium von Michael Craig-Martin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 640,00 (€ 640,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Craig-Martin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit With Red Shoes im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 325.000,00 (€ 381.791,28).
