Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "July 16th" Sixteen Squares by Michael Canney was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 2,295.00 (€ 2,530.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Canney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Offshore Islands in November 2011 with an auction result of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 29,184.94).

Die Arbeit "July 16th" Sixteen Squares von Michael Canney wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.295,00 (€ 2.530,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Canney erzielen.
