Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2004 Christies in Beverly Hills held the auction CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS, which included the work An Old Hunting Trail by Michael B. Coleman. It changed hands for a price of USD 7,767.50 (€ 5,858.28) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael B. Coleman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work In the Rockies—Blackfeet in October 2020 with an auction result of USD 32,500.00 (€ 27,904.18).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2004 führte Christies in Beverly Hills die Auktion CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Old Hunting Trail von Michael B. Coleman zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 7.767,50 (€ 5.858,28) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael B. Coleman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit In the Rockies—Blackfeet im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 27.904,18).
