Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Andrews could be acquired at Sothebys in London in November 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Post-War British Art auction, the work Seated Nude changed hands for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 8,469.30) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Andrews achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 1,265,000.00 (€ 1,518,412.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Andrews konnte im November 2012 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Post-War British Art wechselte die Arbeit Seated Nude für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 8.469,30) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Andrews erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Near Malu Kata Evening, Katatjuta (The Olgas) im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.265.000,00 (€ 1.518.412,80).
